Quote of the Day: Fannie Farmer

"I certainly feel that the time is not far distant when a knowledge of the principles of diet will be an essential part of one's education. Then mankind will eat to live, be able to do better mental and physical work and disease will be less frequent."

from: Retire On Permanent Holiday

Retirees has nowhere to go to except retire on a permanent holiday. This will be the time for where people who have planned their retirement enough will, if possible, lavishly spend their life with, whether on their home, retirement communities or at cruises! Quite often and done by the higher end consumers, retirees used to have retirement living on their dreamed cruise ships and travel around the globe.

Cruise ships, more often than not cost the same per day as having a retirement home. Basically, they provide the same necessities while on board and there are no hassle on cleaning and maintenance, and washing the linen.

Health Care, pharmacy, groceries, entertainment, leisure activities, golf, restaurants, World class spas, 24 hour concierge, international banking, offshore bank and financial service, business services, and more world class facilities, are some of the amenities included depending on the cruise provider.

Food and lodging is well provided on retirement cruise ships and so with entertainment. As a retirement community, you get to spend time and companionship with people on retirement age. Since you are also on travel. You may even get to buy a nice cottage and sun yourself in popular places like infamous Costa Rica.

Living in a retirement cruise would like a dream come true especially if you have the funds to sustain the trip. They have everything you would ever need to live comfortably. Here is one of the descriptions as found on residentialvessels.com:

“Unique in design, with all of the comforts and conveniences of a sophisticated upscale retirement community or condo or hotel.

Imagine, being able to travel around the world, within the security and comfort of Your own home, and what you bring along on Your trip, is everything.

Everything in Your ideal luxury home, Your complete wardrobe, your interior accents, and your personal possessions.

Or you can use this as a second place to live. We'll design the interior and furnish it.”

Retirement on a permanent holiday of course vary from one to another. It may be lavishly done on a cruise ship or may be at your own home with your love ones. What is important is having to spend these days enjoying life and the retirement savings you have kept all those years.

Retirement is having to care for yourself better than in the past. Having to be more proactive and see life more than a trip to mortality.
