from: Retirement-I can't wait till we can...

I can't wait until I can retire, have a trip to the world and that...

Go golfing, all day, everyday. Put a permanent 'gone fishing' sign on the door, and go fishing.

Laze on tropical island, with one of those fancy drinks. Let the kids wait on us for change. Borrow some money from the kids, because they are working and we aren't, that we never intend to pay back, as a payback.

Get a caravan, load it up, and drive off into the wild blue yonder. Buy a new alarm clock everyday, so we can set it for when it's time to get up for work, and smash it with a hammer when it rings.

Write a book Read a book Go on a luxury cruise Think about work, and laugh. Travel the world.

Such has been the trend to things that we say all our wishes to make retirement an exciting part of life to live with. And this, whether we achieved it or not.

The concept of retirement that we thought of today is a modern way of thinking. Back in the early 20th century, where life expectancy is only at 46 years of age, retirements usually last for only a period of 3-5 years, such that retirement is not fully enjoyed.

In the 21st century the concept of retirement become more exciting and enjoyable, looked forward to after years of labor and work. Retirement is now associated with leisure, travel, family activities, hobbies, and educational pursuits. This is made attainable through stable financial security made by the retirement plans we had or by the government welfare services.

Financial security is they key to the attainment of these dreams. Securing your financial help can be made stable by retirement plans that has features to saving ahead and gives enough interest to offset the inflation rates.

Evaluating financial capabilities before retirement would assist in having a better retirement living.

Whatever your reasons for looking forward to retirement, keep it firmly in your sights. Make positive steps to have a life after work. We often think about retirement with and air of 'we'll have plenty of time to worry about that after. But if you need to top up your retirement money, knowing as soon as possible is best.

Also, having set plans to look forward too, keeps us in a positive mind frame as retirement age approaches. Retirement is your time to live.
